AMA Pro Road Racing Technical Bulletin #2010-05 To: All AMA Pro Road Racing Competitors Date: May 20, 2010 Effective Date: Immediately Subject: Testing 2.5 Track Rentals, Unofficial Practice and Testing a. At race facilities that are on the AMA Pro Road Racing schedule, exclusive track rentals and/or practice by participants, including manufacturers, teams or individuals, are not allowed between January 1 and the last day of the last race of the year for each specific class, without prior approval of AMA Pro Racing, and any official tests must be open to all AMA Pro Racing licensed competitors. b. Unless otherwise announced, regional race events, promoter/racetrack organized open practice and recognized schools are not restricted, except within 14 days of the start of a scheduled AMA Pro Racing event the week before a scheduled AMA Pro Racing event weekend, i.e., Monday-Thursday (inclusive) immediately prior to the start of official AMA Pro Racing Friday practice. c. If riders have not participated in more than two AMA Pro events in the current season AND have not competed at the upcoming track in the current year, they may petition AMA Pro Racing, via phone or email, to attend a practice day immediately prior to the event. Any riders attending a practice day without written approval may be disallowed from the upcoming race event at that track. d. Media and promotional activity may be conducted with the prior approval of AMA Pro Racing. These activities will be used solely to expose media to the sport and to generate publicity for promotion of the event and the series, and will not be considered to violate the restrictions above.
