Larry Pegram To Race On Four Wheels This Weekend In Traxxas TORC Series At RedBud MX Buchanan, MI – August 8, 2013 – Foremost Insurance/Pegram Racing SuperBike rider Larry Pegram will be back in racing action this weekend but, instead of being aboard his familiar #72 Yamaha YZF-R1 SuperBike, Larry will be behind the wheel of a PRO Buggy sponsored by RealTree Outdoor Energy Drink. The deal was put together by Larry and his good friend Mark Kwamme from RealTree Energy Drink, which sponsors a racing team in The Off-Road Championship (TORC) Series. TORC will be at RedBud MX in Buchanan, MI, for Rounds 11 and 12 of the short-course, off-road racing series. “I enjoy all kinds of racing, on two wheels, as well as on four,” commented Larry. “And, when my friend Mark talked to me about joining the Traxxas TORC Series up at RedBud, I couldn’t thank him enough for giving me this rare opportunity. I’ll be racing in the PRO Buggy class, which features rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive, purpose-built racing buggies with lots of suspension travel and lots of horsepower. It should be a lot of fun.” The Traxxas TORC Series races will air live this weekend on SPEED, so you’ll have a chance to see how Larry does. “If anything, it’ll make for an interesting episode of my TV show ‘Superbike Family,’ that’s for sure,” Larry added. “We’ll be taping up there at RedBud so, regardless of how I do, it’ll be captured on video for my show, in addition to the races being shown live on Speed.” The TORC race course will use part of the pro motocross track at RedBud MX, and then it extends to the west of the MX track and features high-speed sections, tight turns, sweeping turns, off-camber turns, and big air jumps. The course is unique to the Traxxas TORC Series, and the drivers say it separates the best from the rest. Both Saturday and Sunday are full days of racing, and each day is a separate event. Saturday is Round 11 of the 2013 Traxxas TORC Series, and Sunday is Round 12.
