The AMA Superbike race at Miller Motorsports Park was stopped on lap six of 21 due to a big crash by race leader Mat Mladin. Mladin was leading the race by 1.5 seconds after four laps, when on lap six he highsided at the exit of turn one. Initially, Mladin was slow to get up and appeared to be injured, but moments later he was seen walking into an ambulance and moments after that he was seen running back to pit lane. The running order after four laps: 1. Mat Mladin (Suz GSX-R1000) 2. Ben Spies (Suz GSX-R1000) 3. Jake Zemke (Hon CBR1000RR) 4. Jamie Hacking (Kaw ZX-10R) 5. Aaron Yates (Suz GSX-R1000) 6. Miguel Duhamel (Hon CBR1000RR) 7. Roger Hayden (Kaw ZX-10R) 8. Tommy Hayden (Suz GSX-R1000) 9. Jason DiSalvo (Yam YZF-R1) 10. Luca Scassa (MV Agusta F4-1000R 312) Update: Mladin and his Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 will be ready to make the warm-up lap for the restart. However, as the cause of the red flag, Mladin will have to restart the race from the back of the grid.
