From a press release issued by Cycle Image of Daytona: ORMOND BEACH, Florida DeCamp Motorsports Promotions. Inc. today announced the formation of the Hooters Cycle Image Aprilia race team. The team will race the factory-backed Aprilia RSV1000 in the 2008 SunTrust Moto-ST series under the Hooters Aprilia banner. Racing the Hooters Aprilia #25 will be Mike Luke, Andrew Deatherage, and Benny Carlson, the reigning 2007 AMA Supermoto Unlimited champion. Steve DeCamp, team owner, says “I am extremely excited to put together a great team for our inaugural season in the Moto-ST Series. Being able to bring aboard our long-term sponsor, Hooters, as well as our new partners, Cycle Image of Daytona, Aprilia USA, Western Powersports and Fieldsheer, we will have the equipment and support we need to run a competitive program.” He adds, “the Aprilia bikes are just awesome, and with Mike, Andrew and Benny having extensive experience on Aprilias, we are ready and looking forward to a successful year.”
