Record Numbers of AHRMA Racers Headed to Mid-Ohio VMD AHRMA (American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association) racers prepare to attend AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, July 27 29, in record numbers. AHRMA Executive Director Cindy Cowell reports entries are topping previous years in all disciplines and AHRMA is anticipating their biggest VMD event to date. Friday events include road race practice, a Speed and Sport trials round and VMC Racing Frames dirt track racing. Saturday and Sunday will feature two complete rounds of Works Performance road racing. Also on Saturday is Legends of MX vintage motocross racing (for bikes 1974 and older). Northwest Maico and CZ post- vintage motocross (for bikes from 1974- the mid ’80s) hits the track on Sunday. All events except dirt track take place at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The dirt trackers run at the Ashland County Fairgrounds, about a half-hour away. This is the biggest event on the AHRMA calendar. About 40,000 visitors are expected. There’s the gigantic swap meet, the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum Auction, bike shows, the VMX Champions Race, a Tony DiStefano MX school, new-bike demo rides, stunt shows, seminars and much, much more.
