BIMOTA RACING WILL FIELD CRETU AND WYLIE AGAIN FOR 2016

Bimota Racing powered by Amore Moto will once again field seasoned road racers Brandon Cretu and Ben Wylie for the 2016 real road racing season. Cretu and Wylie will once again pilot the well proven Bimota BB3 at all the international road races; Northwest 200, Isle of Man TT, and finishing off in China at the Macau Grand Prix. Wylie will also represent the team at the Ulster Grand Prix and Scarborough road races aboard the BB3 and also pilot the teams classic bike, a Bimota YB4 at the Classic TT.

Cretu and Wylie proved the Bimota BB3’s prowess on the roads last year with highly respectable finishes at all the international road races. Cretu netted a top 20 at the Northwest 200 in the Superbike race and a personal best finish of 31st in the Isle of Man TT Senior race, with a best lap of 121.7mph. Wylie also had stellar season aboard the BB3 with top 20’s at the Northwest 200, Ulster Grand Prix, and Macau Grand Prix. After a season aboard the BB3’s both riders and the team came away with valuable knowledge that will allow them to further excel during the 2016 season and both riders are expected to come away with their best finishes yet!

Ben Wylie, Team Rider, commented:

“I’m excited to be riding the BB3 again this year. We learned so much throughout last season with the bike I had for the race at Macau being the best bike I’d ever ridden. With that as a starting point for this season I’m confident of moving myself back up the order on the results sheets.”

Brandon Cretu, Team Rider, commented:

“2016 is shaping up to be my most exciting season yet! The Bimota BB3 is the best bike I’ve ever ridden on the roads and that showed last year through my results, especially at the TT where I finally blasted into the 120mph club! The roads, specifically the TT and Macau are where my heart lies, so saying I can’t wait would be an understatement!”

Constantine Blias, Team Owner commented:

“There has been a lot of work done on the bikes over the winter and we have found substantial improvements in both handling and performance which should translate to improved results. After the success of the Bimota street bike display at last year’s TT we plan to take it to even more events this year. It’s looking like a fun and exciting year for the Bimota team and I can’t wait for the racing to start!”
