American Paasch to Race Moto3 with Microlise Cresswell for 2018, First Round this Weekend at Brands Hatch

Freehold, NJ — American Brandon Paasch is making his 2018 debut with Microlise Cresswell Racing this weekend at the HEL Motostar British Superbike Championship. The Moto3 series runs alongside British Superbike and includes nine rounds between April and October.

Just 17 years old, Paasch has already amassed an impressive racing resume, both in the US and Europe. The 2016 KTM RC Cup Series Champion, Paasch picked up this season’s ride with Microlise after riding with the team at Assen in 2017.

“Racing with Microlise on the Moto3 bike last year was an awesome experience,” Paasch said. “It was a dream come true and I fell in love with the bike. The kids in that series are some of the best in the world and I’m honored to say I was racing on the same track with them.”

“When Microlise Cresswell asked me to ride for them in 2018, it was a no-brainer,” Paasch continued. “After getting up to speed relatively quickly last year with no prior experience on a Moto3 bike, I really want to get this season started and fight for the Championship. I am confident in my abilities and in the Microlise team that we can be contenders for the title.”

Paasch says he’s coming off his best winter training ever, having spent it in Florida with long-time coach Paul Allison at Allison’s Birdhouse Training, Inc.

“Early in the off season, Brandon and I formulated a plan,” Allison said. “We made a few alterations to his riding style and exposed some weakness that I think we’ve addressed. I couldn’t be happier with Brandon’s progression and our training program. I’m looking forward to this season.”

Paasch says he’s more than ready for this season. “I couldn’t be more pleased to be at Brands Hatch this weekend with the Microlise Cresswell Racing team,” he said. “I’ve been waiting all winter to get the race season started. I’m eager to get out on track and see what I can do.”
