American Brandon Cretu Set To Compete In Brazil Superbike Series At Interlagos Circuit

Multi-time Isle of Man TT and Macau Grand Prix competitor, Brandon Cretu, will travel to Brazil in early April to compete in the opening round of the national Brazil Superbike Series. This event will take place at the famed F1 circuit, Interlagos on the weekend of April 13.

Cretu will compete for the Brazil based team, Santa Cruz Racing. Fellow Isle of Man TT and Macau Grand Prix competitor, Rafael Paschoalin, will act as his teammate and mentor around the circuit. Rafael is the first Brazilian national to have ever competed in the Isle of Man TT and will be returning to the event in 2014.

“I am really excited for the opportunity that Santa Cruz Racing and Rafael have given me to compete down in Brazil at Interlagos. This racing thing is taking me places I never thought I’d ever get to go and I couldn’t be more thankful for these opportunities. I hope I can make the team proud and attract more riders to compete down in Brazil. The is the beginning of preparation for my return to the Isle of Man TT at the end of May so I am really looking forward to getting back on a bike!” said Cretu.

This race marks the beginning of race track training and preparation for Cretu as he embarks on a fifth consecutive year of competition at the Isle of Man TT.
