The American Flat Track (AFT) Charlotte Half-Mile season finale scheduled to happen today at the dirt track at Charlotte Motor Speedway, in Concord, North Carolina, has been delayed due to rain.

The event was originally scheduled to run a program with practice and qualifying in the afternoon followed by heat races and main events in the evening.

Then on Thursday, October 8, AFT issued word that the event program was being moved up earlier in the day Friday in an attempt to beat incoming bad weather.

Unfortunately, that weather arrived at the track earlier than anticipated, and the event, which was scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time with Mission SuperTwins Qualifying One, is now delayed due to rain.

Stay tuned.

Update: It stopped raining at one point Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but as of 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time is was raining again. No on-track activity has taken place to this point.
