DAVIDSON, NC (November 16, 2020) — After their first year competing together in the American Flat Track series, Wally Brown Racing and Chad Cose announce that Cose will not be the full-time rider for the team in the upcoming 2021 Season. In their first year together they celebrated 1 win and 7 top ten finishes.

Wally Brown Racing recruited Cose to ride the WBR Suzuki RM 450 for the 2020 Season. Throughout the year Cose brought a seasoned rider’s perspective to the team in its first year of competition. “This year we developed a good foundation to start a flat track program. We were able to do so because of Chad’s dedication, hard work and effort. Moving forward we want to build on what we’ve learned and improve our Singles program. Chad has a promising future racing flat track. We appreciate all he has done for our team and hope we can continue to work with him at some capacity, though it won’t be as our full-time rider,” says team owner Wally Brown.

“I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with WBR in 2020. We made a lot of progress as a team while dealing with a year that no one anticipated. I am most proud that I was able to help them earn their first win. While disappointed that I won’t be continuing on as their full-time rider, I am hopeful we can work together again in the future,” said Chad Cose.

American Flat Track held an abbreviated season in 2020 hosting 16 races in 8 locations. Most races were double headers. WBR and Cose competed in all races. It was not the year that they expected, but overall it went well as they qualified for all but one race and took 1st place at the Daytona Short Track in one of the final two races.

“It is our hope that Chad will continue his success in the Twins program next year and possibly ride a WBR Suzuki for a few races. We will have to wait until the AFT schedule is released to make any final decisions,” says Brown.

Brown continues, “We are currently searching for a new full-time rider and hope to make an announcement prior to the year’s end.”
