American Honda Announces Changes To Improve Dealer Support Network

From a press release issued by American Honda: Torrance, Ca. American Honda Motorcycle Division today announced it will be making organization changes to expand its dealer network support. Assistant Vice President of Motorcycle Sales Chuck Boderman said “Our priority is to provide the highest level of dealer support in the industry. Effective in April, we will begin adding field representatives as well as increasing our dealer training organization.” Here are the details: Dan Wright, Sr. Manager National Field Sales will lead an expansion of the field sales organization with the addition of six District Sales Managers to strengthen direct dealer network contact and support. Jack Gray, Sr. Manager Powerhouse Business Development will combine the resources of the Powerhouse Support and Field departments to create the new role of Powerhouse Business Manager. This new position will prepare for future expansion of Honda’s Dealer Development Program. Robert Clever, Sr. Manager will head a new department that will combine dealer Service, Sales and Management training to make training development more efficient. Six associates will be added to this department to accelerate development of Honda’s iN University dealer training materials. The additional staffing brings Honda’s combined Sales, Service and Powerhouse field organization to eighty two associates. “The expansion of the field support and of dealer training resources is intended to ensure Honda continues to provide unparalleled dealer support in the Powersports industry” said Ray Blank, Honda’s Motorcycle Division Senior Vice President.
