Carlsbad, CA April 17, 2009 PJ Jacobsen is set to race in this weekend’s first round of the Spanish Championship, also known as Campeonato De Espana De Velocidao, in Albacete, Spain with Team Aspar. Jacobson was at the top of the time sheets last week during testing and will be racing in the 125 class. The 15-year-old road race phenom has been aggressively training throughout the winter in Florida and at his home in New York. He is now set to compete in this weekend’s international race as well as a few upcoming World MotoGP rounds. Last October Aspar automatically placed Jacobson on the race team after he showed his stellar talent and precision on the race track. The young road racer recently captured the attention of the MotoGP world and continues to show international racing fans and fellow competitors why he is considered one of road racing’s best young riders. “I am very excited to take on this new challenge. Racing in Europe has been one of my childhood dreams and with the support of my sponsors it has become a reality and I am extremely grateful,” said Jacobson.
