American Kenny Noyes Third in Spanish Moto2 Championship American Kenny Noyes secured third place in the Spanish (CEV) National Moto2 Championship when he managed to bring his badly handling Suter home fifth in the final race of the season at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo of Valencia. He had four podium appearances from seven races, but the team was never able to cure the chattering problems that complicated his bid for the number one plate. After struggling for four races with the Suter, the team changed to a Spanish Ariane for two races, but returned to the Suter for the season final. Kenny Noyes: “It was a long, tough season and kinda frustrating. The team worked hard all year and we tried everything, even changing bikes, but for the final it was better to go with the devil you know, like they say. When the track temperature dropped on race day, all the chatter came back worse than ever both on corner entry and corner exit. Every time I tried to push I almost crashed. In a seven-race series there is no room for error and our crash in Albacete dropped us from the fight or the title with Torres, but, to be honest, they were a little better than us this year. On the bright side, this is my best placing in the CEV after being fourth in points twice. Things are looking real good for next year and I’ll announce my plans soon.” CEV Final Moto2 Points Standings 1. Jordi Torres, Spain (Suter) 135 pts 2. Ramón Ramos, Spain (Ariane) 117 3. Kenny Noyes, USA (Suter-Ariane) 87 4. Dani Rivas, Spain (Kalex) 81 5. Alejandro Mariñelarena, Spain (Kalex) 75 6. Hafizh Syahrin, Malaysia (FTR) 55 7. Santiago Hernandez, Colombia (AJR) 54 8. Steven Odendaal, South Africa (Suter) 51 9. Tomoyoshi Koyama, Japan (GPO Tecstra) 44 10.Oscar Climent, Spain (MIR) 41
