Kenny Noyes Ready For Valencia – And For 2011! The weekend got off to a great start for Kenny Noyes at Valencia, the last race of the 2010 season. Kenny was quick off the mark in the first session of free practice, regularly featuring in the top 3 at a track he doesn’t have to learn. An experiment with a different pivot point and rear shock to try and extend tire life failed to pay off in the afternoon, meaning that on Saturday, the team will revert to Friday morning’s setup in pursuit of a strong qualifying position. Bigger news for Kenny was that the American has signed a new deal with the Jack&Jones By Antonio Banderas team to race in the Moto2 World Championship again in 2011. Kenny and a new teammate will be racing on a Suter chassis for the Jack&Jones By Antonio Banderas team next season, a change from this season’s Promoharris frame. Both Kenny and the team are hoping the switch of chassis will take one unknown factor out of the equation, allowing the American to compete with the front of the field. Kenny will test a 2010 version of the Suter during the official Moto2 tests, before the team receives their own 2011 chassis in January. But before then the Jack&Jones By Antonio Banderas rider will hope to give his Promoharris one final outing in the points. Kenny Noyes 22nd, fastest lap 1’37.724 Kenny said: “I’m really looking forward to next year! I learned so much this last season, all the new tracks we went to, and I kinda got a grip on all the traveling and the back-to-back races. So I’m real excited to be back next year with the team, and on a competitive chassis.” “I think the Suter’s a really balanced bike, I see a lot of guys with different riding styles that go well on it. I’d hoped this year would be a level playing field, but from Mugello, we started to see we had a disadvantage. So if we push hard next year, we should be on a level with the rest, and hopefully towards the front again!” “For tomorrow, we won’t be trying too many more setup changes, because we’ve been doing that all year. We’ll just ride as hard as we can and see where we end up. I think it’s going to be hard in the second part of the race, but hopefully we can make a good lap in qualifying and start from the front.”
