Following up on his performance at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP, Kyle Ferris has received an offer to replace the injured Eugene Laverty on the Blusens Aprilia 250GP team. Blusens Race Director Ricard Jove was impressed by Ferris’ ability to ride in the rain and wind at the infamous Brickyard during MotoGP’s first visit to the renowned Racing Capital of the World. In light of the cancellation of the 250GP race due to the weather, Ferris is seeking another opportunity to compete against the best 250GP riders in the world. “This would be a great opportunity to gain some valuable experience in the top 250GP series in the world,” said Kyle Ferris from his home in Wildomar, CA. “Indy was kind of a mixed result – I was very excited to be there with Team Infinity Replicast, but we weren’t happy with our final results. The weather made the whole weekend very tricky, and we would have loved to race with the top 250GP teams. I’m hoping that I can get the chance to show my skills and run with the best over in Europe. I know my next step is to find the fast guys overseas and learn to get even faster.” Ferris and Team Infinity Replicast Director Leila Ranzi Pate received the call from Blusens Aprilia 250GP the week after the rained-out 250GP race was scheduled to run at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP. Discussions are currently ongoing to line up the best opportunity for Ferris, and both Ferris and Team Infinity Replicast are reviewing options in the USA and in Europe for the remainder of the 2008 race season.
