Michael Aquino joins Team Stratos in the FIM CEV Moto2

The young American rider will compete in the FIM CEV Repsol for his first year in Europe.

Michael Aquino joins Madrid’s structure to compete in the European Championship Moto2 with the Ariane2. After his experience in Supersport category in United States, Michael will compete in Spain to continue his career in one of the categories more demanding and with more level of the championship.

It will certainly be a learning year for Aquino, who has raced in Valencia previously in World Mini Moto. He has met both his team and new bike for the season, with hopes of making a quick adaptation to the Moto2 of Team Stratos.

The first event of the year will be in Valencia on April 17th, and can be seen outside Spain through the Youtube channel Championship.

Michael Aquino #6 @michaelaquino18: “I´m so happy to announce my new season with Team Stratos at FIM CEV Moto2 Championship, together with my sponsors Mechanix Wear, Helmet House, Cortech Leathers, Shoei Helmets and in addition to Robbert from BSP and all of my supporters from the United States… I´m looking forward to a great season of growth in my racing ability in Moto2.

With starting my first test with Stratos team at Valencia (Ricardo Tormo´s Circuit) and first time on a Moto2 bike I was please by my team and progress each session out… Due to rain in afternoon it was cut short but will have extra 2 days testing before the first race of the year on April 15th weekend. It’s going to be a journey that I expect to learn and grow each round. We will be posting on all our social media sites with updates. Thanks for the support!
