American Motorcyclist Association honors and thanks those who served in the U.S. military
Veterans Day offers opportunity to reflect
PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The American Motorcyclist Association offers its sincere thanks this Veterans Day, Nov. 11, to all U.S. veterans who have served the United States through times of war and times of peace.
The AMA is happy to count thousands of veterans within its membership ranks, as well as many AMA-chartered veterans motorcycle groups.
“Veterans have played an important role in the growth and continuation of the motorcycling lifestyle, and we are happy to count thousands of veterans as AMA members,” said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. “We thank the many men and women who have served in the United States’ armed forces and defended the American way of life and our freedom to ride. We also extend our gratitude to the families of our servicemen and servicewomen who supported them during their service.”
Veterans Day is a federal holiday, observed this year on Nov. 12. The AMA urges motorists to exercise caution and be alert for motorcyclists using the nation’s roadways this weekend. The AMA also urges motorcyclists to stay alert and ride sober.
One way the AMA demonstrates its commitment to veterans and its respect for their selfless service is by offering the military affinity membership card.
