“Finally, I get to race the Northwest 200!” said Fernandez. “Excited is an understatement. I’m very thankful that my Magic Bullet Advanced Fuel treatment team in Northern Ireland is so supportive of all my race endeavors. The Northwest 200 has been on my bucket list for many years now, and it’s finally going to happen. I’ve been watching on board video in preparation for next week, and I’ll probably burn a tank of gas doing laps in the car trying to learn the 8.9 mile circuit. I’ll be a newcomer to the event, so I am limited to only 3 races on Thursday and Saturday. My primary focus will be competing on the Magic Bullet ZX-10 in both superstock and superbike, but I’m going to squeeze in at least 1 race on the Yamaha R6 in Supersport. I’m looking forward to challenging my ability and competing in such a prestigious international event that hosts over 100k spectators. I’m approaching the event with the mindset of learning, and improving as much as I can within the race week. Top speeds on the 1000cc are 209mph, faster than I’ve been before, but I’m going to do my best to hold on and keep her pinned. My team and I will also be competing in the Ulster Grand Prix this August. I will definitely try to push myself and better my lap record there. I’m grateful that all my sponsors in the USA also support me overseas. Thank you so much to Pirelli USA, Motul USA, ARAI and SPIDI. Without their continued support this wouldn’t be possible. Also to my Crew Chief Rick Bretl who travels with me to make sure I have the best prepped machine possible, I couldn’t do it without him. I’ll be posting up live videos, updates, and where to watch live timing on my social media. I’m excited to share the awesomeness that road racing is with my friends and fans in the US!”
