Rispoli ready to push for Snetterton success

America’s James Rispoli heads to Snetterton this weekend aiming to secure his best result so far in his rookie MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship campaign.

The 24-year-old contender scored two finishes in difficult and changing conditions at Knockhill at the previous round, arriving at Snetterton this weekend feeling confident of claiming two strong point scoring finishes after a recent test at the 300 circuit.

Rispoli has fond memories of the Norfolk track from last season, when he celebrated a second place finish with Team Traction Control in the Dickies British Supersport Championship and is eager to emerge as the top rookie in the Superbike class in the two races this weekend.

Rispoli said: “It feels really good to be going back to Snetterton; I love the place and it is one of my favourite tracks of the season. I don’t know why, but it is one of those places that I just seem to gel with.

“I have spent the past five days having a huge amount of fun – I have been training hard and riding motorcycles with some good people, so I am in a really good state of mind ready for the weekend and the team has also been working hard too.

“I am really buzzing about this weekend; we should have some new parts to try and that should help us find that little bit that we have been missing at the past few rounds because this championship is so close every little thing makes a difference. I am hoping Snetterton is going to be really good for us now and I really can’t wait to get the weekend started.”
