Boulder Motor Sports Shane Turpin To Race In British Superbike Championship At Cadwell Park Boulder, Colorado, August 6th, 2012 – Boulder Motor Sports rider Shane “Tornado” Turpin will race a Ducati 848EVO in the British Superbike Championship 848 Challenge Class August 25-27 at Cadwell Park, in England. The opportunity came about through Ducati UK and JHP Performance who contacted Brian Sharp of Boulder Motor Sports about bringing Turpin over for a one-event ride in the championship as a guest rider for Ducati UK. Turpin raced as a wildcard at this year’s World Superbike event at Miller Motorsports Park on board a Boulder Motor Sports prepared 1198RS, finishing as the top American. Asked about the opportunity, Turpin said, “I’m really excited to have this opportunity to race in Europe in the 848 Challenge race and am honored that Ducati UK, JHP Performance, Boulder Motor Sports and my personal sponsors have given me this great opportunity. I’ve raced one other time in Europe back in 2002 in the FIM 24-hour of LeMans with Yamaha Motor France and have always wanted to race again over there. I know that Cadwell Park is a technical track, but with the support of JHP and my team from Boulder Motor Sports I look forward to getting on the circuit and mixing it up with the series regulars.” The Ducati 848 Challenge Series is in its second season and draws over 30 different riders from across Europe and is televised live on Eurosport TV.
