Brea, Calif. Elena Myers, who recently turned 16, made history at Saturday’s race at Infineon raceway by claiming the first win of her career in the AMA Supersport class aboard her No. 21 Lucas Oil Roadracingworld.com RMR Suzuki GSX-R600, and became the first female rider ever to win an AMA Supersport Class race. To commemorate and honor Elena’s historic win, ~http://suzukicycles.com/~ is going pink to show just how proud the company is of her achievement. “Elena is a great example of a Suzuki racer. She has a lot of heart, a lot of talent, and now this amazing win to show the world she’s a tough competitor,” said American Suzuki Motor Corporation’s Communications Manager Steve Bortolamedi. “We at Suzuki are proud of her, and glad that she’s riding a Suzuki GSX-R600. Changing our Suzukicycles.com homepage pink in her honor is our way of supporting her young and promising racing career.” With six rounds left in the 2010 season, and each event being a double header, Myers will have plenty of opportunities to add to her growing list of career wins. As a way of celebrating her achievements, the Suzukicycles.com team will be turning the site’s homepage pink for five days following every podium finish for Elena. Keep an eye on the Suzukicycles.com for updates on Elena’s races!
