Five Americans to Race Macau GP
Five riders will represent the United States in the 2011 Macau Grand Prix.
Jeremy Toye, San Diego, California, after finishing third in last year’s event, will pilot a Paul Bird Motorsport factory Kawasaki sponsored ZX-10R 1000 in this year’s race.
Joining him will be Mark Miller, Long Beach, California, aboard the Splitlath Aprilia RSV4 1000. Miller’s best finish to date was third in 2000.
Michael Barnes, Boca Raton, Florida, will ride the Attack Performance Kawasaki sponsored ZX-10R 1000. Barnes’ best finish was fourth in 1993.
Sean Dwyer, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, will compete on the Locust/Lee’s Cycles-sponsored BMW S1000RR (the same bike and team that took Toye to the podium last year). This will be Dwyer’s second trip.
Chris Clark, Las Vegas, Nevada, will ride the Y.E.S., Pat Clark Sports, Graves Motorsports Yamaha-sponsored YZF-R1 1000 for his first race through the streets of Macau.
The team leaves for Hong Kong on November 12, then Jetfoil to the southeast China coast city. This year’s 45th Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix will take place on Saturday November 19.
