Young Gun Garrett Carter back to Spain for Round 2 of the CEV series, June 19th at Valencia Garrett Carter heads to Valencia this weekend looking to improve on his CEV Spanish Series debut. At the first race of the 2005 series in Albacete on May 8th, Garrett struggled with his new team (Ecurie Sports) and a bout of bronchitis to fall short of qualifying by four positions. The team is confident that Garrett’s improved relationship with his mechanics, stronger health and a familiar track will get them the results they expect. He is riding a high coming off of a WERA regional weekend at Grattan, Michigan, that saw him win in his class and set a new 125GP track record. This Spanish CEV, Valencia round on June 18-19, is traditionally used as a testing weekend ahead of the next MotoGP. Last year saw Abruzzo, KTM, Derbi, Seadorf, and Fortuna at these races and Garrett is excited to get on the track with such a competitive grid. Garrett is also pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with GIVI to use a brand new road racing helmet that has just been launched worldwide. Givi is one of the world’s largest plastics manufacturers and produces a number of premium helmets and hard luggage and windscreens for motorcycles. Garrett is running the full CEV schedule in what is regarded as the toughest 125 series in the world – producing the likes of Sete Gibernau, Kenny Roberts Jr. and Luis D_Antin. Garrett is also racing a full program stateside in the National USGPRU series where he finished 6th in the first round at Jennings.
