Americans Kensei Matsudaira and Nathan Gouker Teaming Up to Race in RFME
ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship in PreMoto3 and Moto4

February 15, 2024

After a successful rookie season in the 2023 RFME ESBK (Campeonato de
España de Superbike) Moto4 championship, 13-year-old Japanese-American
Kensei Matsudaira is moving up to the PreMoto3 category in the same
championship for 2024.

Kensei’s team from 2023, Evike.com Nox#27 Racing Team, has joined forces
with Ajevo Racing Team, also based out of Valencia, Spain, to create a
new team capable of fielding up to four riders in the PreMoto3 and Moto4
categories in the ESBK Championship to fight for race wins and podiums.

Kensei Matsudaira:

“Last year in Moto4 was a good year, I learned a lot and definitely
enjoyed the high level of racing in ESBK and fighting at the front. I’m
really looking forward to moving up to PreMoto3 this year with all of my
crew from last year and also having a bigger team around me. I know this
will be another big step but I’m ready and excited for the challenge.”

Joining the team in the Moto4 category is 12-year-old American Nathan
Gouker, making his full time racing debut in Spain:

“I’m extremely excited to announce I will be racing in the 2024 ESBK
Moto4 Championship for Team Ajevo/Nox#27. I’m humbled for the
opportunity to represent my amazing sponsors, the United States, and my
family in this highly competitive series. Our first test and race will
be at the Jerez circuit, a track I raced last year, so I have confidence going
into the season. I want to thank Stadler, Bob Robbins, and CP
Motorsports for their incredible support and of course our additional
sponsors for helping to put this all together. I know it’s going to be
very challenging, but I’m ready for this next step in my career.”

Nathan Gouker hails from North Carolina and is one of the fastest rising
stars in road racing in America. He started racing MotoAmerica Mini Cup
in 2019, and in 2022 made his big break by winning the Ohvale 110 and
160 championships. He followed that up with another championship victory
in the 160 class in 2023, earing a ticket to the FIM MiniGP World Finale
where he finished an impressive fifth out of 34 riders from around the
world. In 2023 Nathan also made his Spanish Moto5 racing debut in the
MIR Racing Cup with wildcard entries in Jerez and Cartegena, with an
impressive best finish of fourth place.

The seven-round 2024 RFME ESBK championship begins with an official test on
March 16 at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto in Spain, followed by Round
One at the same venue on April 4.

There are still openings within the team for additional riders
interested in joining the ESBK championship in the Moto4 and PreMoto3
categories. Please direct all team inquiries to: [email protected]
