HONDA EAST SIGNS EDDIE KRAFT FOR 2008 November 14, 2007 – Maumee, OH – Honda East Yamaha Suzuki of Toledo, located in Maumee, Ohio will sponsor up and coming road racer Eddie Kraft in the 2008 race season. Kraft will race in the WERA North Central series, along with competing in select WERA National Challenge events and debuting in the AMA Supersport series, aboard the all-new 2008 Yamaha R6. Located in Northwest Ohio, Honda East is the largest Honda dealership in the state; offering a full line of sport bikes, cruisers, dirt bikes, ATVs, scooters, watercraft and snowmobiles – not only by Honda – but Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Aprilia, Sea-Doo, Bombardier, Polaris, Artic Cat and Ski-Doo as well. Honda East prides themselves on the best out the door deal, period. No games, no hassles. While looking to become a larger part of the road racing scene, Honda East General Manager Pete Brent stated, “We’ve always offered the best prices out there, but a lot of track day enthusiasts and racers just haven’t known about it. We’re in the heart of the North Central region and it really makes sense for us to target the racing market and let people see for themselves what they can save by doing business with us.” Honda East also sells genuine OEM parts for all makes and models, deliverable to the home or directly to the track. Offering online micro-fiche and part and accessory catalogs, Honda East provides one of the best resources for ordering both OEM and aftermarket parts quickly and easily. Honda East is also a certified Dynojet-approved Tuning Center, VP race fuel distributor and Kushitani dealer. Parts and Service manager Tom Beagle stated, “While we offer great pricing on bikes, we will also be doing special programs and racer support initiatives throughout the season that Eddie will be helping us promote. Not only do we want people getting their bike from us, we want to show them what we offer with our in-house dyno services, as well as the large inventory and selection of OEM and race products we carry.” Kraft rode a 2005 Yamaha R6 this season, winning the WERA 600 Superstock and 750 Superstock Championships, grabbing his first two Expert 600cc wins in the process. Prior to that, Eddie made a name for himself racing a Suzuki SV650 on which he won over 35 races and two National Championships.
