FIRST PERSON/OPINION Via e-mail: I have been a little confused by the recent press releases from some of the manufacturers competing in the new AMA/DMG series. Kawasaki announced that the Attack Team would be representing them in the premier class, Daytona Sportbike. Now, Yoshimura Suzuki is announcing that they are fielding a three-rider team for the premier class, American Superbike. So, what is this, boxing? Will there be a race to unify the titles in October? Papa A. Thiam Paris, France Actually, rumor is that there are plans to hold a PPV title fight featuring an as-yet-unnamed rider representing American Superbike, versus three as-yet-unnamed Daytona Sportbike riders, under the lights and inside a 20 x 20 x 20 steel cage located in the Auto Club Speedway (formerly California Speedway) garage area, on April 1st, 2010.
