Cpl. Michael D. Anderson, Jr. Memorial Ride Will Celebrate Its 10th Anniversary On May 10

Modesto, CA – April 10, 2014 – The 10th Annual Cpl. Michael D. Anderson, Jr. Memorial Ride is scheduled for Saturday, May 10. “King” Kenny Roberts and several other American motorcycle racing heroes–including four-time Grand Prix Champion Eddie Lawson and fellow GP title holder Kenny Roberts, Junior, are scheduled to ride in the event aboard StarMotorcycles provided by Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. The ride is free and open to the public, and hundreds of Marines, soldiers, sailors, and airmen are expected to attend.

From its start in Modesto to its completion in the historic mining community of Jamestown, the Memorial Ride will be escorted by motorcycle units from the Modesto Police Department, the Stanislaus Sheriff’s Department, and the California Highway Patrol, ensuring a safe and uninterrupted run through central California’s spectacular Mother Lode foothills.

The Annual Cpl. Michael D. Anderson, Jr. Memorial Ride is affiliated with Welcome Home Heroes, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized to provide assistance to local Central California veterans of the U.S. military in their transition from active duty to private life. Last year, the Memorial Ride and True American Heroes Dinner raised nearly $50,000. Visit www.TrueAmericanHero.org for more information.
