After three consecutive and successful seasons in the amateur rank, Raphael Archambault had a hard time in his first year being Pro in 2011. “Last year has been an important learning process for me with new motorcycle, new team, new level of competition, etc. All the bad luck we’ve had throughout the season didn’t help either,” said Archambault. But after a winter of hard work and preparation, Raphael and his team are finally ready for Round 1 of the 2012 MOPAR Canadian Superbike Championship. “The feeling of being weak when you are at your best must be the worst feeling in the world. I think there is no word that can describe how much I hate loosing and thinking about last year has been a big motivation for me to improve my-self physically and mentally for the upcoming season. Since my first title in 2008, I had never felt like this and I guess last year was necessary to reach that next level,” said Archambault. Consistency is a very important aspect to win a championship and that is one of the reasons why Team Archambault Racing has decided to continue in the Pro Sport Bike class and ride on Suzuki again this year. “The goal this season is to try to win the championship by focusing on race to race and by trying to win as many races as possible,” said Archambault. On June 8th, 2012, during the MOPAR CSBK pre-season test at Shannonville Motorsports Park, Raphael has shown that he was up for the task. “We were in the 1:06’s during the test day and have the GSX-R 600 working very well. I’m really confident for Round 1,” said Archambault. Raphael Archambault would like to thank: Suzuki Canada, Picotte Motosport, G Suspensions, Shoei, Nexo Sports, Vortex, Motorex, Hotbodies Racing, Yoshimura, RK Racing Chain, K&N Filters, Oakley, B&G Performance/Sunoco Race Fuel, Town & Country Céramiques et Pierres inc. “¦ and a special thank to Paul Fournier from Picotte Motosport for giving us one of the best engines on the grid and to Gianni Aceto from G Suspensions for the awesome support on suspensions !
