Arclight Cuts Acree Loose To Pursue AMA Superbike Ride

Due to unforeseen circumstances Arclight Racing, Inc., racing as Arclight Suzuki, effective immediately will change its rider line-up for the F-USA series. David Stanton, the current AFM Formula Pacific Champion and Number One plate holder, will join Scott Harwell.

Stanton first raced with Arclight Racing, Inc. in 1997, helping the team win the Middleweight Superbike Championship in the WERA National Endurance Series, taking the number two plate overall behind Team Suzuki Endurance. Stanton rejoined the team in 2001, finishing second overall in the 2001 AFM series and winning the Overall Championship in the 2002 AFM series.

Stanton and Harwell will run in the F-USA Series, contesting the 600 Sportbike and 600 Superbike classes, and will also run in selected AMA events.

“This is a great opportunity for me to get back involved in professional motorcycle racing,” said Stanton. “I’m thrilled.”

Lee Acree, the rider Stanton replaces, is currently exploring other opportunities.
