This coming weekend, July 18-19, the American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA) and Championship Cup Series (CCS) will host racing at Road America in Elkart Lake, Wisconsin. The track is located on one section of land an hour north of Milwaukee, or one hour south of Green Bay on highway 67. Racers will take to the 4.05 mile, fourteen turn course as they compete in a wide variety of classes.
This is a twin sprint event with each CCS class running twice over the duration of the weekend. In addition to the CCS races, this is round three of the ASRA sprint series presented by Pirelli tire, and round two of ASRA Team Challenge presented by Michelin tire.
Gates open Thursday at 5 p.m. ASRA/CCS registration and tech will be open Friday from 6-8 p.m. Saturday riders take to track competing in 25 minute GT races as well as CCS sprints and ASRA Team Challenge. Sunday, the action continues with a full slate of races scheduled. The ASRA sprint races will take place just after the lunch break and will be followed by more CCS sprint races to finish the weekend.
Starting on Thursday, tickets for a weekend pass are only $45, reduced to $35 on Friday, and just $25 on Saturday for the remainder of the weekend. The gate will be operated 24 hours.
