ASRA Issues Technical Rule Clarification For Daytona 200

74th Daytona 200 Rule Clarification

Fort Worth Texas – The American SportBike Racing Association in conjunction with the Daytona International Speedway would like to announce a rule clarification for riders and teams planning to participate in the74th Daytona 200 scheduled to run March 14, 2015. This is a clarification, not a rule change.

In regards to rule book section 6.1.2.A, (6.1.2.A Original equipment wheels, brake calipers, forks, frame, engine, fuel induction system, and swing arm must be used.),it is permitted to modify or remove the front fender mounting brackets on inverted forks to facilitate the installation of the quick change hardware. The lower cap of an inverted fork is not a part of the fork that is regulated by this section.

The American SportBike Racing Association (ASRA) is the parent organization to the Championship Cup Series (CCS), the largest amateur motorcycle road racing organization in the United States issuing over 3,000 licenses per year.
