ASRA Team Challenge Series Presented by Michelin Tire

June 23, 2015

Fort Worth, TX – The American Sportbike Racing Association is pleased to announce a working relationship with MyLaps Sports Timing for the remainder of the 2015 and the 2016 season of the ASRA Team Challenge Series Presented by Michelin Tire.

What does this mean for ASRA competitors? It means that ASRA Team Challenge Teams will enjoy the confidence that MyLaps Timing brings to the team during the remaining 200 Mile events without a mandated pit stop after the first hour of racing. It means the teams will be using the same timing and scoring system ASRA used at the 74th Daytona 200. It means that they will be using the same scoring units used by professional motorcycle road races in the United States.

While rental units will still be available at all the remaining races for the same fee as the Westhold units, MyLaps 1-year Flex units will be available at the track for only $150 for a full years use in any MyLaps scored event regardless of sanctioning body. ASRA will have units charged and ready to lease beginning with the July 4th race at Road America.

We would also like to reassure the Championship Cup Series competitors that CCS will continue to use the Westhold Transponders at all events promoted by the Fort Worth and Florida offices.

The next event for the ASRA Team Challenge Series Presented by Michelin Tire is July 4-5 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. For more information on upcoming events, please visit www.asraracing.com .

The American SportBike Racing Association (ASRA) is the parent organization to the Championship Cup Series (CCS), the largest amateur motorcycle road racing organization in the United States issuing over 3,000 licenses per year. ASRA promotes eight AMA sanctioned Sprint Series and eight AMA sanctioned Team Challenge road racing events for 2015. The CCS Series sanctions 45 events at popular tracks around the United States, including Daytona International Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Road America, New Jersey Motorsports Park and Virginia International Raceway among other fine venues. In 2015 ASRA and CCS will provide riders with access to millions of dollars of sponsorship awards through participation in its sanctioned events.
