Triumph Motorcycles Raise $97,000 at Sound & Speed Charity Auction NEWNAN, Georgia January, 17, 2007 Triumph Motorcycles (America) Ltd., is pleased to announce that two motorcycles it donated to Sound and Speed raised $97,000 at auction this past weekend. Sound and Speed is an annual charity event held in Nashville, Tennessee that brings together the stars of country music and drivers from the Nextel Cup for a celebration of country music and NASCAR. The event raises funds for the Victory Junction Gang Camp and The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum charities. The two custom painted Rocket III motorcycles donated by Triumph were used for the 2006 Chick-fil-A® Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America and were signed by 33 racing and music personalities including Kyle & Richard Petty, Richard Childress, Greg Biffle, Michael Waltrip, Bill Anderson, Aaron Tippin, Niki Taylor, and Bebe Winans. The Rocket III is Triumph’s flagship motorcycle. With a distinctive 2,300cc three-cylinder engine that pumps out 140 horsepower, the Rocket III is the best performing cruiser in production today. At a spirited auction led by Nashville radio personality Terry Flannigan and Big Kenny, half of the country duo “Big and Rich”, the bidding quickly escalated between two determined buyers. When the dust settled, the generous bidders had added $97,000 to the Sound and Speed charity coffers. The Victory Junction Gang Camp is a not-for-profit organization founded by NASCAR driver Kyle Petty and his wife Pattie in honor of their son Adam. Located on 72 acres in Randleman, NC, the camp opened its doors in 2004 to enrich the lives of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses by creating camping experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound. No child or family pays to attend camp. Victory Junction provides a place where the kids can connect with other kids who have like illnesses – a place where the kids can just be kids and enjoy a full range of fun, pleasure, friendships and success. More information about the camp is available at www.victoryjunction.org. Accredited by the American Association of Museums (AAM), the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is located in Nashville and is operated by the not-for-profit Country Music Foundation, an educational organization. Utilizing staff expertise and an unduplicated collection of country music memorabilia including recordings, instruments, costumes, song manuscripts, photographs, film and video, business documents and other relics, the Museum preserves the evolving history of country music and makes that story available to a local, national and international audience through exhibits, recordings, books, periodicals and school and family programs. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum can be located online at www.countrymusichalloffame.com. Triumph is one of the oldest and most famous names in motorcycling. Triumph is a privately owned British company and it is the only British motorcycle brand still producing bikes today.
