Defending Australian Superbike Champion Glenn Allerton is planning to race in the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike event July 27-29 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, according to an article appearing Wednesday on www.cycleonline.com.au, the Australian motorcycle news website run by former AMA Pro racer Alex Gobert. Allerton plans to bring his Procon Maxima race crew and the suspension from his BMW S1000RR Australian Superbike to the United States, where he will source a BMW S1000RR Superbike to ride, according to the article. Allerton had hoped to arrange a ride in the AMA Pro Superbike Championship at the end of the 2011 season, but those plans never came together for the 31-year-old.
