Link International Backing ASBK with Motul, Pirelli and AGV in 2018

29 January, 2018

Link International are back, bigger and better than ever with their support of the 2018 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK). Once again they will be the Presented By sponsor, continuing their long-term relationship with the national championship. This season, Link International will also bring AGV on-board as official helmet sponsor of ASBK.

Link International have been involved with ASBK for many years and the addition of AGV is a great sign that the partnership between ASBK and Link International is only getting stronger. The relationship between Link International and ASBK has been a corner stone of the championship.

Pirelli and Motul were a part of the most successful ASBK season to date, and the growth of the championship has presented a great opportunity for AGV to join Australia’s premier road-racing championship. AGV has developed a reputation as one of the world leading helmet brands, and will even be worn by three-time World Superbike Champion, Troy Bayliss, who will race in ASBK this season.

Link International saw great success on the track in 2017 and Pirelli Product manager, Garry Crilly shared his thoughts on a successful year; “We couldn’t be happier with Pirelli performance last year, and our ability to supply a product that performs at the highest level in all conditions were evident with Pirelli riders winning ASBK championships in the Australian Superbike, Supersport, Supersport 300 and the R3 Cup.

“We have worked closely with Pirelli during the off-season to ensure we have the necessary product to challenge for all ASBK championships in 2018,” Crilly finished.

Mark Kelly, Marketing Manager of Link International said; “Motul is synonymous with high performance racing worldwide and has proudly been the official oil sponsor of the ASBK over many years. Riders worldwide trust the performance of Motul to get the best from their motorcycles.

“Motul 300V Factory Line Synthetic, is used by ASBK and Motul WorldSBK competitors alike, and is the very same product that the public can purchase for their own bikes at their local store, thanks to Link International. All of Motul’s race winning products are derived from feedback, given straight back from the riders and teams. Motul has access to a wealth of data collected for over a century and a half, to constantly improve the recipe.” Kelly finished.

Motorcycling Australia’s (MA) Chief Executive Officer, Peter Doyle said; “It’s great to have Motul and Pirelli committed to ASBK once again in 2018, but to add AGV is great sign for us that the championship is getting bigger and better. Pirelli in particular dominated in all major ASBK classes. Both teams and riders have a confidence in Link International’s products and I’m sure they will be as competitive as always in 2018. It’s great to have such well-regarded brands as title sponsors and corner sponsors,” according to Doyle.
