Six-round Australian Superbike Championship confirmed for 2014 13 December 2013. Motorcycling Australia are pleased to announce a six-round Australian Superbike Championship for 2014. The 2014 calendar although not completely finalised will be confirmed in the coming week. In an effort to provide a calendar and championship that caters for all classes and objectives, MA worked closely with V8 Supercars and prominent state venues to ensure the championship will profile the best talent to the largest audience for domestic racing. V8 Supercars is considered one of the nation’s top three sports and to be included in their program is both a privilege and great opportunity for riders and teams. The championship will also contest three stand-alone rounds where all classes will come together. 2014 Australian Superbike Championship 1. April 5th and 6th Queensland Raceway (All classes) 2. May 24th and 25th Philip Island (All Classes) 3. June 21 and 22 – Darwin (Superbikes with V8 Supercars) 4. August 2nd – 3rd – Queensland (Superbikes and Supersport with V8 Supercars) 5. October TBC 6. November 14th and 16th – Philip Island (Superbikes and Supersport with V8 Supercars) Motorcycling Australia confirmed it will also payout prize money in 2014. The prize money will be paid out to privateers only in the Superbike class.
