The weather may not be bright heading into the weekend, but the crowds will descend upon Phillip Island once more as nothing will dampen the spirits of spectators at the 2010 MotoGP to be held 15th 17thOctober. The Ducati Motologic Racing Team is ready for victory at the circuit although the event does not constitute a round of the Australian Superbike Championship, there will be 4 races for the Superbikes in the support category. Jamie Stauffer is more than ready to take the apparently elusive race win after bringing the Ducati 1198R so close time after time. The multiple Champion has recorded excellent lap times on the 1198R this season often the fastest of the competing Superbikes, however the stars have not aligned for the team as yet and they enter the weekend determined to make their mark with the Ducati. #27 Jamie Stauffer: “MotoGP is always an exciting event with so many people the atmosphere is great. We have four races this weekend and although it isn’t for points in our championship I am very focused on winning. The team has, as always, worked extremely hard and we have come so close quite a few times this season, but not quite taken first place. I reckon this weekend it is time. Testing went extremely well and we are very competitive. I really just need to keep my focus, the bike is ready and the team is ready. We’ll see what happens.” Returning from injury, #33 Jordan Burgess will be on the grid once again and taking on the might of the experienced riders. With his foot healing well after surgery, Burgess is taking each day as it comes. #33 Jordan Burgess: “I’ve been anticipating this weekend for a long time. I love coming to Phillip Island for this event as it is always really exciting racing in front of so many mad race fans. I’m carrying a bit of an injury, fresh out of recent surgery and still have stitches in my foot”¦.really I just wanted to look tough like Rossi earlier this year! In all seriousness though, I will be giving it maximum effort in all four races, thinking positively and not forgetting that it is all fun!” Ducati Motologic Racing Team Manager, Paul Free is exuding an air of calm as he awaits the Superbike races at this year’s MotoGP. He knows that the Ducati 1198R is set-up to suit the Phillip Island circuit, he knows the UK NTech tyres will do the job well and he knows that the pilot of the 1198R has both the experience and the intense hunger to win some races at this event. Is this the event that will see the Ducati Motologic Race Team take the win? Can they take 4 wins? Will you be at Phillip Island to find out?
