Chris Pontrelli is auctioning a brand new, autographed Scott Russell Replica Arai Corsair V helmet on eBay and donating 100% of the proceeds of the sale to the Roadracing World Action Fund to honor the memory of his friend, fallen NESBA control rider Michael Moore. This helmet was originally auctioned off for $1026 earlier this month (~https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=48728~), but according to Pontrelli: “The winning bidder contacted me saying he is donating the helmet back to the cause, and he asked that I re-list the helmet on eBay to raise more money. The winning bidder wished to remain anonymous, saying only that he’s ‘a friend of Mike Moore,’ and he couldn’t think of a better way to honor his friend than to contribute to a cause that helps riders safely enjoy the racetrack — something Mike Moore was incredibly passionate about.” The Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price of the helmet is $919.95. Moore crashed during a track day event November 6, 2011, at New Jersey Motorsports Park and hit an unprotected steel barrier. Three days later he was removed from life support and died from the head injury he sustained.
