All the Avintia Blusens MotoGP team members have been really excited to travel to Qatar as it will mark their debut in the top category. Both the riders and the technicians worked against the clock throughout the whole pre-season so they could make it to the Losail circuit in the best conditions. A great deal of work has already been carried out on the team’s BQR-FTRs before their first G.P. ever but they are still lacking mileage so their setting-up can be improved. These bikes were created by Avintia Blusens which has given the team less riding time than most of their rivals. In spite of this point the team remains positive and its riders are convinced that they will gradually be among the best CRTs. Iván Silva: “We have been through a difficult but fruitful pre-season. We started from scratch and we created a brand new motorbike. It’s an honour for me to be here in Qatar for the first G.P. of the season as a member of the Avintia Blusens. It’s the top category and it’s great to be part of it. Things won’t be easy at the beginning of the season but I believe in the team and my capabilities.” Yonny Hernández: “What can I say? I can hardly believe the first MotoGP race of the year is about to take place and I am going to be part of it. I am coming up from Moto2 and I am aware that things are far more complicated in this category. We have been improving in a positive way throughout the pre-season. The bike is improving and the team really sticks together. I am sure we will take a step ahead on this track and soon we will be among the best CRTs.”
