Through this special competition, applicants were asked to submit a 600-word essay explaining why they would like to be selected for this special opportunity along with a photo. Contest winner Pat Henderson shared a personal story about making many sacrifices in order to provide for her children. Those sacrifices included giving up her motorcycle. Now that her children are grown, she turned to Garage Girls for help in fulfilling her dream of riding again.
