Colin Seeley Announced as 14th Annual Barber Vintage Festival Grand Marshal

Birmingham, Alabama – Motorsports legend Colin Seeley will be the grand marshal for the 14th Annual Barber Vintage Festival at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum and Barber Motorsports Park October 5-7. Tickets for the festival go on sale at the beginning of June.

“We are delighted to have Seeley as this year’s grand marshal,” Jeff Ray, executive director of the Barber Museum, said. “Over the past 60 years, he’s made his mark as a motorcycle dealer, motorcycle racer, chassis designer, race team manager, and philanthropist.”

Seeley of Sidcup, Kent, United Kingdom, designed motorcycles for some of history’s most famous racers, including Giacomo Agostini, Paul Smart, and John Cooper. He produced limited-production Honda bikes before becoming co-manager of the Brabham Formula One Team with Bernie Ecclestone.

“In today’s vintage motorcycle racing, Seeley-framed motorcycles continue to weigh in as one of the most chosen makes,” said Ray.

Along with more than a lifetime’s worth of contributions to motorsports, Seeley has served as a major philanthropist for more than 38 years. Since December 1979, by way of the Joan Seeley Pain Relief Memorial Trust, he has raised funds for hospitals and hospices that provide pain relief and medical equipment for adults and children.
