Mike Barnes, the 1998 F-USA Champion, will race Dr. Rob Tuluie’s Tul-aris 780 at Daytona in the F-USA Unlimited GP and the CCS $1000 Unlimited GP races, on March 3 (CCS) and March 4 (F-USA).

Barnes replaces Mike Ciccotto, who reneged on his agreement to race to Tul-aris after his sponsors in the AMA Series objected.

Barnes has extensive racing experience and has recently raced a Honda NSR500V, a Yamaha TZ250, a Britten V-Twin and Kawasaki ZX-9R. The 135-pound Barnes and the 264-pound-dry, 309-pound-wet Tul-aris are expected to make a potent combination.

The Tul-aris 780 was featured in the February, 2001 issue of Roadracing World.
