Barnes Still Hospitalized With Knee Injury

Team M4 EMGO Suzuki’s Michael Barnes remains hospitalized at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida Thursday morning, following surgery to clean out an open wound in his right knee. Barnes suffered the injury when he crashed his GSX-R600 during AMA Supersport practice Wednesday afternoon. Barnes has withdrawn from further competition this weekend in Daytona. Barnes’ teammate Geoff May will ride his GSX-R600 Formula Xtreme bike in the 65th Daytona 200 by Honda. More details on Barnes’ condition will be posted as they become available.
