Tray Batey and Josh Day qualified fastest for Sunday’s WERA National Challenge Series event at Roebling Road Raceway Friday, Batey topping Open Superstock and Day going fastest in 600cc Superstock; Open Superstock and 600cc Superstock are the only WERA National Challenge classes featuring qualifying sessions in 2008, with other classes gridded on points. Batey did his time on a Vesrah Suzuki GSX-R1000 on Pirelli tires. Day did his time on a Blown Away Racing Yamaha YZF-R6 on Pirelli tires. The Open Superstock class has 22 entries, while the 600cc Superstock class has 31 entries.
