FMV Venezuelan and FIM Latin American Superbike Champion Robertino Pietri was 19th fastest with a best lap time of 1:28.511 in Saturday AMA Superbike practice at Laguna Seca, riding his GSX-R1000 Superstock racebike on Pirelli tires. Colombian Martin Cardenas finished seventh in the AMA Supersport race Saturday on a Suzuki GSX-R600 on Pirelli tires, turning a fastest lap at 1:27.858 and finishing 13.805 seconds behind the winner. Former and two-time FMV Venezuelan Superbike Champion Fernando Amantini finished 16th on a Kawasaki on Dunlop tires, turning a fastest lap at 1:30.070 and finishing 52.903 seconds behind the winner. Mexico City’s Dirk Sanchez was listed in 38th, turning a fastest lap at 1:33.626 and coming in 15 laps behind the winner, on his Suzuki GSX-R600.
