FIM Latin American Superbike Champion and FMV Venezuelan Superbike Champion Robertino Pietri was 15th in Friday morning AMA Superbike practice at 1:52.336 and qualified 17th at 1:53.327 in blazing hot, 105-degree F conditions in the afternoon, riding a Superstock-spec Roadracingworld.com Suzuki GSX-R1000 on Pirelli tires. Pietri was seventh-fastest in morning Superstock practice, at 1:53.461. Colombian Martin Cardenas was eighth-fastest in Friday morning Supersport practice, at 1:55.404 riding an M4 EMGO Suzuki GSX-R600 on Pirelli tires. Cardenas was sixth-fastest in morning Formula Xtreme practice at 1:54.747 and qualified seventh fastest at 1:54.604 in high afternoon temperatures. Former (and two-time) FMV Venezuelan Superbike Champion Fernando Amantini was 19th at 1:59.200 in Friday morning Formula Xtreme practice and qualified 19th at 1:59.330 in high afternoon temperatures, riding a Kawasaki ZX-6R on Dunlop tires.
