Colombian Martin Cardenas rode an M4 EMGO Suzuki GSX-R600 on Pirelli tires to third in the AMA Formula Xtreme race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin Saturday. Venezuelan Gustavo Laya finished 19th, on a Moto Uno Kawasaki ZX-6R on Pirelli tires. Two-time FMV Venezuelan Superbike Champion Fernando Amantini finished 24th, on a Kawasaki ZX-6R on Dunlop tires. Venezuelan Carlos Rodriguez finished 35th on a Kawasaki ZX-6R. FIM Latin American Superbike Champion and FMV Venezuelan Superbike Champion Robertino Pietri finished 12th in the AMA Superbike race on a Roadracingworld.com Suzuki GSX-R1000 on Pirelli tires. Pietri also qualified 11th for Sunday’s AMA Superstock race, in a torrential downpour, after crashing on a sealer patch, getting a ride back to the pits from a spectator, and going back out on his back-up bike. Cardenas qualified 21st for the AMA Supersport race in a difficult wet session on another M4 EMGO Suzuki GSX-R600. Amantini qualified 27th on a Kawasaki ZX-6R, and Rodriguez qualified 47th on a Kawasaki ZX-6R.
