Valencia Official MotoGP™ Test to provide a first taste of 2017
When the dust settles after the final round of the MotoGP™ World Championship in Valencia, riders and teams will only have a few hours off before the following campaign starts: on November 15th and 16th, the Ricardo Tormo Circuit will host the very first official test of the 2017 season, allowing fans and media alike to get a first peek at next year’s grid.
The MotoGP™ line up has been shaken with a few key moves amongst the top teams, first and foremost with Jorge Lorenzo’s move to Ducati Team alongside Andrea Dovizioso while Maverick Viñales will join Valentino Rossi at Movistar Yamaha. Elsewhere, it will be interesting to see how the all-new Suzuki pair fares as Andrea Iannone teams up with rookie Alex Rins.
More rookies are expected to spice things up in 2017 with Monster Yamaha Tech3’s Jonas Folger and Johann Zarco making the step up from Moto2™, as will Briton Sam Lowes with Aprilia Gresini. Another novelty element will be brought by Austrian manufacturer KTM entering the premier class with an effort spearheaded by the familiar pair of Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro.
