Berger Signs With Effenbert Liberty Racing Team For 2012 Superbike World Championship

Effenbert Liberty Racing officializes the agreement with Maxime Berger Prague, 25th november 2011. After confirming the riders Sylvain Guintoli and Jakub Smrz, protagonists of the last season in World Superbike and that allowed to the Czech Team Effenbert Liberty Racing to reach the 4th place in the team classification already in its first year of participation in the championship, the CEO Doc. Mario Bertuccio and the management have decided, considering the new regulations, to increase the investment focusing on the program of development of young riders. The first piece that has been added is the promising and young French rider Maxime Berger, already twice on the podium of the final classification in the FIM Cup Superstock 1000 and that last year has made his debut in the WSBK riding the Ducati 1098 of the Supersonic Team and who ended in 7th position in race 2 of the last world champoinship appointment, the Grand Prix of Portugal . The rider was invited to test the bike during the past month of October in Portimao, as is well known, and managed to obtain some good timings showing he could be one of the protagonists in the next season. Here is Maxime Berger’s declaration: “I am honored by the confidence that the Effenbert Liberty Racing Team has given welcoming me within their highly professional structure. I know I can count on the all team, with whom I had the pleasure of participating to a private test on the Tuesday following the races in Portimao. I appreciate the welcome that they reserved me and I am very proud to have the possibility to honor the team’s colors in 2012. They can count on my professionalism, my motivation and the desire to honor my commitment to carry the colours as higher as possible. My second season on a Ducati Superbike will be for me the opportunity to fully take advantage of the bike qualities and I have no doubts that the work that we will be undertaking will soon bring its results. Rendezvous for everyone in 2012! “
