Bermudian Riders To Race In USGPRU Moriwaki MD250H Challenge At Red Bull Indianapolis GP

Team Tuned riders, Bruce Degrilla Jr. and Cody Sousa-Saints, will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana on August 25, 2010 representing Bermuda in their first world championship event. American Honda announced that during the 2010 Red Bull Indianapolis GP, August 27 to 29, a special youth class has been added for racers riding the Moriwaki MD250H powered by Honda. The Red Bull Indianapolis GP is a round of the MotoGP World Championship, the most prestigious motorcycle road racing series in the world. It has taken place annually since 2008 on a 16-turn, 2.621-mile road circuit at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway that incorporates part of the Speedway’s famous oval. All three World Championship classes compete at the event: MotoGP, Moto2 and 125cc. This event, part of the United States Grand Prix Racers Union (USGPRU) race schedule, will allow up-and-coming road racers aged 12-16 to compete at the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The USGPRU is the officially recognized 125 Grand Prix National Championship® and 250 Grand Prix National Championship® series. About Team Tuned Team Tuned is a local Bermuda based motorcycle racing team. The Team was established by Cyril H. Whitter, III in 2007 and registered as a charity in Bermuda on April 15, 2009. Team Tuned’s primary focus is the training of future National Champions from the earliest point of their careers. The primary goals of the team are as follows: * To promote a positive and structured environment for young Bermudians interested in motorcycle racing within a controlled, safety focused facility with a view of discouraging dangerous riding on Bermuda’s public roads. * To develop future National Champions through the training of quality riders from the earliest point in their careers by providing the infrastructure, equipment, race experience and training required to compete at the highest level in Bermuda’s national motorcycle racing series. * To both participate in training schools and compete within motorcycle racing events overseas on an annual basis with a goal of developing the team’s riders on an international level.
